About Us

Dr. Kristin Difuntorum-Inouye and Husband Nick Inouye

Aloha Vision

Aloha Vision is an optometric practice serving the ocular health and visual performance needs of Nevadans. Dr D and her husband, Nick are a duo with the 'aloha spirit' in mind. The 'aloha spirit' is found in their compassionate service. Conducting an optometric practice with compassionate provides the ideal platform to excel at patient care. This patient-first mentality comes from the value of the human connection deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture. Dr D and Nick share roots in Hawaii, and as UNLV Runnin' Rebels. In short, Aloha Vision is the result of an extensive network of family, friends, peers, and mentors providing us with an opportunity to serve our community.

Meet the Doctor

Dr. Kristin Difuntorum-Inouye (Dr. D) is a graduate from Western University of Health Sciences in 2020 where she earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree. She is a Las Vegas local who returned to serve her community as she received her undergraduate degree in Architecture at University of Nevada Las Vegas. Dr. D has received extensive training in ocular disease management, glaucoma, and contact lenses from her clinical rotations at the VA outpatient clinic in Bradenton, FL and Castle Family Health Center in Atwater, CA.

In addition to eye exams for glasses and contacts, Dr. D’s  office specializes in diabetic exams, dry eye, ocular disease, LASIK eligibility, emergency ocular services, cataract evaluation, glaucoma screenings, myopia management and amblyopia management.

Dr. D chose the field of Optometry because she loves being able to solve most of her patient’s vision problems instantaneously and she has a passion to help those in need. “The eyes are a very complex organ that is connected to everything in the brain so being able to help my patients better understand their eyes and improve their health/vision is a very fulfilling job."

Dr. D was born in Honolulu, HI and when away from the office, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, snorkeling, snowboarding and spending time with her husband, friends and family.
